When the “SHTF” it’s too late…

If you watch the news then you know that right now it appears that the world as we know it is ending; mass unrest across the globe, regime changes through military coups or civil unrest, earthquakes, nuclear reactor meltdowns spreading its invisible poison into the atmosphere.  Luckily as of right now we still have time to make sure all of our ducks are in a row for that worse case scenario.  Like many of you I prefer to be optimistic, but I’m also a realist, and as a realist I know that there’s no better time than today (preferably yesterday) to prepare.

Many people feel that preparing for a survival situation means just having a pantry full of bottled water, non-perishable food stuffs, blankets, and first aid kits.  While this may be true there are a few other factors that will mean the difference between failure, survival, and safety.  Survival isn’t just having the neccessary kit to make it through whatever disaster strikes.  You also need to prepare you and your family mentally and physically for such a disaster.  In many survival cases the determining factor when it comes down to surviving or not will be the survivor’s mental state, or simply do you have the will to survive?

AS I WATCH TODAY’S SOCIETY SPIN BY UNCHECKED BY LOGIC AND RUN OFF OF THE FEARS OF THE IGNORANT IT PAINS ME TO SEE THIS. GIVIN THE OPPORTUNITY I WOULD CHANGE IT, BUT I AM NOT IN A POSITION TO CHANGE WHAT I SEE NOR IS IT THE TIME TO CHANGE WHAT I SEE. DESPITE THE VAST WEAKNESSES WITHIN THE FLAWS THAT WE AS HUMANS POSSES OUR NATION IS STILL STRONG, BUT ONLY STRONG TO A POINT. OUR COLLECTIVE EGOS HAVE CRIPPLED US WITHOUT REALIZING IT. MANY STILL DO NOT REALIZE THAT THIS IS HAPPENING. THE PEOPLE EXPECT THE DECISIONS TO BE MADE FOR THEM BY PEOPLE THEY DO NOT SUPPORT THROUGH THE ESTABLISHMENT THAT WAS SET TO PROTECT OUR RIGHTS AND OUR FREEDOMS. YET WE ALLOW THESE ELECTED OFFICIALS TO CHIP AWAY AT OUR RIGHTS, AT OUR FREEDOMS, AND AT OUR LIBERTIES, AND SAY THAT IS FOR THE COMMON GOOD OF THE LAW ABIDING. HOW IS IT GOOD FOR THE LAW ABIDING TO RESTRICT THE LAW ABIDING IN THE ABILITY TO CARRY OUT THE ORIGINAL PLAN OF OUR FOUNDING FATHERS WHEN THOSE THAT BREAK THE LAWS THAT INSURE NEW LAWS ARE MADE IN A VAIN ATTEMPT TO CURB THE EVER RISING CRIME RATE? IT DOES NOTHING BUT TIE THE HANDS OF THE INNOCENT WHILE THE CRIMINALS OF OUR SOCIETY GO UNCHECKED. WE THE PEOPLE CAN NOT ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE UNCHECKED. WE CAN NOT ALLOW OUR NATION TO BEFALL THE FATE OF THE NATIONS AND STATES OF THOSE THAT WE HAVE FOUGHT AGAINST SINCE THIS NATION WAS CONCEIVED OUT OF NECCESSITY FROM THE CORRUPTION AND INEQUALITY OF OTHER NATIONS. NOT ALL OF OUR BATTLES HAVE BEEN WITHIN THE EYE OF THE PUBLIC AND THE EYE OF THE MEDIA. THESE BATTLES HAVE BEEN FOUGHT WITH LESS THAN CONVENTIONAL TACTICS ENSURING THAT THE RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OF OPRESSED PEOPLES AROUND THIS WORLD WILL HAVE A CHANCE AT TASTING AND EMBRACING THE SAME RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS THAT AT ONE TIME WE HAVE ENJOYED. IT DISTRESSES ME GREATLY THAT A NATION FOUNDED WITH THE PRINCIPLES OF CHRISTIANITY HAS TURNED ITS BACK ON THE SAME GOD THAT BY HIS GRACES WE HAVE MANAGED TO COME THIS FAR. THE REASONING THEY GIVE US FOR THIS IS TO BE POLITICALLY CORRECT AND DO NOT WISH TO OFFEND ANYONE. IF SOMEONE IS OFFENDED BY THE HISTORY OF OUR NATION, A NATION THAT IN PAST YEARS HAS BEEN LED AND HAS PROSPERED UNDER GOD FEARING CHRISTIANS THEN THEY SHOULD NOT COME HERE! THIS IS ONE MAJOR WEAKNESS OF OUR NATION. WE DO NOT WANT TO STEP ON TOES OF OTHERS THAT MAY NOT BELIEVE IN OUR CHRISTIAN GOD. WE BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO ACCOMODATE FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT EVEN CITIZENS OF THIS NATION. WHILE ALL THIS IS GOING ON OUR OWN GOVERNMENT IS IGNORING ITS OWN PEOPLE WHILE FOCUSING ON THE OVERFLOW FROM NATIONS THAT DESPISE OUR WAY OF LIFE AND WISH NOTHING MORE THAN TO SEE US FALL. WHY SHOULD WE ALLOW OUR NATION TO ACCEPT AND EMBRACE PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT CITIZENS AND MERELY DRAINING OUR RESOURCES ALLOWING AN OPENING FOR MORE LIKE THEM TO ENTER ILLEGALLY OR STAY ILLEGALLY. WE SHOULD NOT ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE EITHER. GRANTED THE TIME FOR AGRESSIVE ACTION IS NOT YET UPON US THE TIME I FEAR IS DRAWING NEARER THAN PEOPLE WISH TO REALIZE.

I AM NOT STATING THAT WE SHOULD TAKE AGRESSIVE ACTIONS TO ALLEVIATE THESE PROBLEMS, BUT I AM SAYING THAT IF WE DO NOT ACT NOW THEN THERE WILL SOON COME A DAY THAT WE ARE FORCED TO TAKE AGRESSIVE ACTIONS TO FIX WHAT WE FOR SO LONG HAVE IGNORED AND FOR WHAT WE HAVE FOR SO LONG ALLOWED TO CONTINUE TO TRANSPIRE UNDER OUR NOSES OR BEHIND OUR BACKS. THE FOUNDING FATHERS WHEN WRITING THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE AND THE CONSTITUTION KNEW THAT THE DAY WOULD EVENTUALLY COME THAT THIS SORT OF ACTION WOULD BE REQUIRED AND MADE THE NECCESSARY LINES WITHIN THEIR TEXTS TO ACCOMODATE FOR THESE FUTURE NEEDS. OUR OWN GOVERNMENT, BEING FEARFUL OF BEING DEPOSED FROM THEIR SET WAYS WISH TO TAKE THOSE LIBERTIES FROM US TO ENSURE THEIR OWN WELL BEING AND FUTURE AS LEADERS OF BLIND SHEEP. YOU MAY NOT AGREE WITH ME, BUT THAT IS HOW THEY SEE US. THEY SEE US AS SHEEP BEING LED TO THE SLAUGHTER FOR THEIR OWN PROFIT. IF YOU WERE TO TAKE THE TIME AND FULLY REVIEW THE HAPPENINGS WITHIN THE GOVERNMENT TODAY YOU WILL SEE THAT IT IS NO LONGER A GOVERNMENT FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE, BUT IN ALL ACTUALITY IT IS A GOVERNMENT FOR DOLLAR BY DOLLAR. WE NEED TO ENFORCE THE RIGHTS OF OUR STATES TO GOVERN THEMSELVES INDEPENDANTLY AS SPECIFIED AND ALLOWING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ONLY TO RUN CHECKS AND BALANCES FOR THE SAFETY AND WELL BEING OF THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION. WE ARE NOT ONE NATION WITH ONE GOVERNMENT WE ARE ESSENTIALLY 50 NATION STATES EACH WITH ITS OWN GOVERNMENT AND AN OVERSEEING GOVERNMENT DESIGNED TO REGULATE FOR ANY ABUSES OF POWER WITHIN EACH NATION STATE. WE MUST ENFORCE THIS NOT OUT OF FEAR BUT OUT OF NECCESSITY AND OUT OF THE DUTY THAT EVERY AMERICAN HAS TO THE NEXT GENERATION AND THE GENERATIONS THERE AFTER.

THERE IS ONLY ONE INTERPRETATION OF THIS TEXT AND WITHIN IT TWO COURSES OF ACTIONS. ONE OF WHICH WE ARE STILL ABLE TO TAKE AND THE OTHER WE WISH TO AVOID. WE MUST ACT NOW SO THAT THERE IS NOT MORE BLOODSHED OF BROTHERS UPON OUR SOIL. WE MUST FORCE THOSE THAT WE HAVE ELECTED TO LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE INSTEAD OF LISTENING TO THOSE THAT ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING IT.

Hollywood Star leans to the Right

CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE
A Hollywood conservative has headed East. It’s “Freedom Concert” time
for Jon Voight. The Academy Award winner will join Sean Hannity in
Cincinnati and Atlanta this weekend to honor fallen soldiers and present
college scholarships to surviving children. Mr. Voight — a warrior
himself in many ways — has been cogitating about the state of America,
meanwhile.
“There’s a real question at stake now. Is President Obama creating a
civil war in our own country?” Mr. Voight tells Inside the Beltway.
“We are witnessing a slow, steady takeover of our true freedoms. We are
becoming a socialist nation, and whoever can’t see this is probably
hoping it isn’t true. If we permit Mr. Obama to take over all our
industries, if we permit him to raise our taxes to support
unconstitutional causes, then we will be in default. This great America
will become a paralyzed nation.”
Be outraged, Mr. Voight advises.
“Do not let the Obama administration fool you with all their cunning
Alinsky methods. And if you don’t know what that method is, I implore
you to get the book ‘Rules for Radicals,’ by Saul Alinsky . Mr. Obama is
very well trained in these methods,” he continues, citing a television
campaign critical of the Republican Party and contentious town-hall
meetings about health care reform.
“The real truth is that the Obama administration is professional at
bullying, as we have witnessed with ACORN at work during the
presidential campaign. It seems to me they are sending down their
bullies to create fist fights among average American citizens who don’t
want a government-run health care plan forced upon them,” Mr. Voight
says. “So I ask again. Is President Obama creating a civil war in our
own country?”
MEGALISCIOUS
She’s blonde. She’s the bomb. And she’s got important relatives. Meghan
McCain, the woman who brought va-va-voom to the Republican discourse in
recent months, will rock ABC’s “The View” Sept. 9 as the first guest
co-host for Elisabeth Hasselbeck, now on maternity leave.
Ah, Meghan. She was the one (as ABC reminds everybody) who told Karl
Rove, “You had your eight years. Now go away.”
Commentary is running amok online: You go, girl, they say. You’re just a
dumb blonde. Take on Joy Behar. Oh, and say “hi” to your dad. Which is,
of course, Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, onetime presidential
hopeful, war hero.
And what does he say?
“He’s very, very proud of his daughter,” a McCain spokeswoman tells
Beltway.
HAIL TO THEE
With cool fanfare, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
(NOAA) announced Thursday that a whopper, 3.3-inch hailstone fell July
16 in Vermont — deemed an official state record and adding, perhaps,
another wrinkle to the global warming argument.
The hailstone conveniently fell in the backyard of one Chuck McGill, a
NOAA meteorologist, who whisked it to the office for measurement and
photographs. But now what? The hailstone sat for weeks in the NOAA
freezer. Is it a has-been?
Not to worry. NOAA’s got it covered.
“Chuck’s taken it home again and put it in his own freezer,” chief
meteorologist Andy Nash tells Beltway. “These things can just sublimate
to nothing. You know, evaporate. Chuck’s determined to keep that
hailstone alive.”
LOCKED AND LOADED
The Second Amendment Foundation has accused MSNBC of “demonizing”
gunowners, says Alan Gottlieb, the Bellevue, Wash.-based group’s
founder. The segment shows a figure toting an AR-15 rifle outside the
national convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, where President
Obama spoke earlier this week.
“There are Second Amendment rights, for sure, but also there are
questions about whether this has a racial overtone. I mean, here you
have a man of color in the presidency and white people showing up with
guns strapped to their waist,” anchor Contessa Brewer says in the
report.
“What MSNBC purposely did not reveal with the deliberately doctored
video is that the man carrying that sport-utility rifle was an
African-American,” says Mr. Gottlieb. “Yet all they showed in a brief
film clip was a close-up of the rifle against the man’s neatly-pressed
dress shirt. It was impossible to tell the man’s race. This is a
detestable attempt to manipulate public sentiment.”

How I see this playing out…

There are many theories out there to what the next 4 years are going to be like and what the country will look like after the next 4 years.  Well here is another.  There have been numerous plans put in place by people in the know to protect from a number of these theories.  However a simple phone call or pen to paper to circumvent these measures.

One scenario is that illicit material such as biological or radiological material would be smuggled across one of our many pourous ports of entry and detonated in one or many of our major metropolitan areas.  Of course this will mean total lock down and another war in another country somewhere around the world.  However, there are two problems with this.  For one troops fighting in a foriegn country there would be no troops to enforce the martial law that would follow such an attack.  One or two options from this point…  One spread our forces thin and institute a draft because we all know how well that worked last time.  Second option is send all our boys to some hell hole to die and bring in UN/NATO “Peacekeepers”.  The latter of which is the more plausible especially with the Posse Commitatus Act.

There is one thing I left out though.  The actual “attack” itself.  It will be presented to the mass media as an attack by either a) an islamic terrorist organization or b) right wing extremist / home grown terrorists.  Seeing as how our current administration has made an overly obvious practice of apologizing to the muslim world that is not very likely to be their target.

So when this does happen stand-by to stand-by.  Expect curfews, rioting, looting, personal firearm confiscation among others.

I’m not going to tell you how you should prepare.  You know yourself and your community and your situation well enough to know, or atleast should.  Be prepared.  Don’t advertise to people what you have, where you have it, or what your exact plans are.  If you have people you trust make sure you really trust them before you clue them in.  The best plan is to remain under the radar.  Don’t let them see you coming.

“Bugging Out”

First off let me apologize for not sticking to the intent of this blog up to this point.  My main objective was to tell you the readers about my experiences with survival and not just an outlet to rant and ramble about politics and the state of the nation.  So without further adieu…

There are some crowds out there that will tell you “bugging out” is bad juju.  That you will be out there on your own living out of a bag, box, vehicle, or prepositioned cache’s.  Other camps say that it is a fool-proof fail-safe.  I myself have always been in the middle of the road between the two groups.  There is a time and place for everything.  However, having your gear ready and collecting dust in the closet is not the best way to go about things.  Like most survivalists will tell you:  break out your gear a few times a year and check it over and make sure it is all still good to go.

His words were true, we are not Free, we have ourselves to blame.
For even now as tyrants trample each GOD-Given Right,

If he stood by your bedside, in a dream, while you’re asleep,
and wonders what remains of our Rights he fought to keep,

This is just a “termite” approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense – chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

Culling the herd

In this day and age we will soon be required to go back to a more effective method of taking care of the excess fat steadily growing around the arteries of this…. once great nation.  Our politicians and decision makers are locked in indecision.   Locked into an inability to determine which pocket to line next with kick backs from corporate giants and both left and right wing activist groups who have the money to buy a vote from time to time.

 We must learn to become self sufficient and not rely on those who only rely upon themselves and their bank rollers to take care of their own wants and indescrections.

 Live free… live unburdened… live Off the Grid… Go to Ground…

 Now is as good of a time as any other for culling the herd.  Cutting off the fat of the land that has begun to weigh us down to the point of where we are immobile.

SICK AND FLIPPIN’ TIRED

I have had it up to my eyeballs from all the BULL excriment from the Liberal Left-wing “anti-conspiracy” nut jobs.  I actually heard on the radio over this past weekend…. Veteran’s Day Weekend no less!!!!  They actually had the cajones to attempt to “factually” state that we have lost more troops on the war on terror than in WW2, Korea, or Vietnam……  

Well…. Let’s take a look at the numbers shall we?  (These numbers come from multiple sources, both civilian and DoD and then averaged between them, don’t like it do the research yourself and quite your bloody bickering to yourself or you’ll have some bloody nickers to bicker about)
